Found February 1881, on the sands near Fleetwood, Lancashire.
In a bottle:
Brig Louisa went down yesterday. Only survivors two men out in an open boat somewhere off the coast of Ireland. Help us, for God’s sake. Amen.
[Shields Gazette, 14 February 1881]
There is information of a Brig Louisa being a ‘Hired Armed vessel’ between 1799 – 1801 but no information relating to her sinking https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hired_armed_brig_Louisa

Thanks Ana. Part of the difficulty in identifying vessels is that there were often several with the same name. So while it’s possible this was the same vessel, the time gap between your reference in 1801 and the message being found in 1881 suggests it might have been a different brig.
